3D Game Art

My interest in game development was sparked by an interest in custom game art. The following is a collection of some of the various works produced during the time when I actively pursued custom asset development as a hobby.

 

 A mysterious and surreal setting. A castle and outlying villages float in the sky on the remnants of an exploded Earth. Tools used; Valve's Hammer Editor, rendered in Source Engine, Counter Strike Source. Originally developed for Addon DB's Mapping Contest #1, with theme "living on the edge", this map placed second.  A Japanese castle at night. Tools used; Valve's Hammer Editor, Adobe Photoshop (custom textures), rendered in GLDSRC Engine, Counter Strike 1.6. 


 The polluted metropolis of the future. A bridge connects two buildings and a ship passes by. Tools used; Valve's Hammer Editor, rendered in Source Engine, Half-Life 2. 


 A garden leads down to a Romanesque pool. Tools used; Valve's Hammer Editor, rendered in Source Engine, Counter Strike Source. 


 Storage crate model and texture. Tools used; 3DSMax, Photoshop, rendered in 3DSMax

 A strange discovery prompts the construction of a viewing platform. Tools used; Valve's Hammer Editor, rendered in Source Engine, Half-Life 2. 


 An underground bunker, slowly deteriorating, is used once again during a crisis. Electricity is supplied through a hap-hazard rigging of electric cables. Tools used; Valve's Hammer Editor, rendered in Source Engine, Custom Game. 


 In a dark future The London Underground lies in ruins. One station, saved from decay through use of hap-hazard buttresses and a roughly rigged electrical system waits for a special passenger. Tools used; Valve's Hammer Editor, 3DSMax, Adobe Photoshop (custom models and textures) , rendered in Source Engine, Custom Game.
